LDRP – Obstetrics

LDRP is an acronym for Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum

The focus of the LDRP staff is on providing memorable birth experiences for our patients. We offer a comfortable environment, as well as highly skilled providers & nurses. Whether you choose a natural birth or the use of anesthesia, we have options available. Depending on your situation, you may choose to walk during labor, utilize birthing  balls, soak in our jetted tub, or receive an epidural for pain control. Should you have a scheduled cesarean section, or a cesarean becomes necessary during the course of your labor, our staff is ready to support you in providing the safest delivery for you and your baby. After the birth, we will continue to nurture your transition into parenthood. We encourage rooming in with your baby to promote bonding & support breastfeeding. We strive to focus on the physical, social & emotional needs of your family while providing compassionate, family-centered care to mothers, newborns & their families.

Your journey will begin in the OB/GYN office where you will receive exceptional care from our obstetrical providers, Dr. Mosenfelder,  and Dr. Mays de Perez.  You can visit the LDRP unit at any time throughout your pregnancy for a personalized tour of the unit or to ask questions you may have.

We have 13 staff members, highly trained in neonatal resuscitation, stabilization of a newborn and advanced fetal monitoring.   We staff our own IBCLC, as well as other CLCs to provide assistance and education for your breastfeeding journey.
