Houlton Regional Hospital is very pleased to announce the arrival of General Surgeon Dr. Pedro Hernandez.

Dr. Hernandez will be joining Dr. Donald Metzger as a new member of the Aroostook County Surgical Associates team.

Dr. Hernandez comes to Houlton Regional Hospital with over 20 years of surgical experience. Originally from the Dominican Republic, he has received training through the Kingston General Hospital Residency Program in Ontario, Canada, as well as the Residency Program at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After completing his residency program, Dr. Hernandez extended his education by completing a Fellowship in Trauma and Burn Care at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital. Dr. Hernandez is also Board Certified through the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Hernandez and his wife, Edith, are settling in nicely to their new home in Houlton. Please join the Houlton Regional Hospital family in welcoming Dr. Hernandez and Edith to Houlton.
