Three Retirees With More Than 62 Years Of Service
December 31st, 2009Houlton Regional Hospital honored three retirees with more than 62 years of service at a Retirement Coffee held on December 30th.
Sharon Kenney – 1972-2009; Sharon actually began her career at the Madigan Memorial Hospital back in 1962 for 10 years; she joined HRH in 1972, first working on Med/Surg, then eventually transferred to the OR in 1982. She has been an LPN for more than 47 years, 37 of them at HRH. She is looking forward to spending time with her husband, Claude, and their grandchildren.
Deannie Long – 1987-2009; Deannie began here as a Pharmacy Tech 22 years ago; prior to her career at HRH, she trained as a Pharmacy Tech thru a program offered by LaVerdiere’s Drug Store and worked for them for 3 years before joining our Pharmacy Dept. Deannie is looking forward to spending a few months at home to rest up (especially during the cold weather) and then traveling throughout New England and Canada with her sister.
William “Bill” Mills – 2006-2009; 3 years ; Bill joined our Respiratory Team back in 2006 as a new graduate; prior to getting his degree in Respiratory, Bill had a long-standing career as a musician, touring with his band, getting a degree in Jazz and Contemporary music; owned his own music company and recording studio and has recorded his own music; as most of you know, Bill also gained a wife during his employment here. Naomi (Brisley) Mills. Bill wasn’t able to attend the coffee today due to being out of town.
